Welcome to Learning Forward New Jersey.

As President of Learning Forward New Jersey, I am honored to serve alongside educators, leaders, and partners who are deeply committed to advancing professional learning across our state. Together, we share a belief that continuous learning strengthens educators, empowers leaders, and ultimately improves outcomes for students.

This year, our guiding message is Rooted and Rising. More than a theme, it serves as a reminder of who we are and who we aspire to become. We are rooted in the mission, vision, and values that have guided Learning Forward New Jersey throughout its history. We honor the relationships, experiences, and collective wisdom that have shaped our organization while continuing to rise through innovation, collaboration, and new opportunities for growth.

Some of my most important lessons about learning, belonging, and opportunity came long before I stepped into a classroom. Experiences that challenged me to see the world through different lenses continue to influence my work today and fuel my commitment to creating professional learning that is accessible, engaging, and inclusive. Those lessons have strengthened my belief that meaningful learning honors the unique strengths, perspectives, and needs each individual brings to a community.

Throughout my career as a special education teacher, special education coach, and facilitator of professional learning, I have been passionate about creating learning experiences that educators do not simply attend, but truly experience. The most meaningful professional learning invites participants to think deeply, learn alongside one another, and leave with renewed energy, practical ideas, and a sense of possibility for what comes next.

At Learning Forward New Jersey, we believe that high-quality professional learning is both the message and the model. While our sessions may explore a variety of topics, our greater purpose is to strengthen the ability of educators, coaches, facilitators, and leaders to design and lead meaningful learning experiences for others. We strive to create environments where participants feel valued, challenged, and supported while translating research on how adults learn into practical strategies that can be applied immediately.

Whether you are a classroom teacher, instructional coach, administrator, consultant, higher education partner, or aspiring leader, there is a place for you in our community. My hope is that more educators across New Jersey discover the power of a professional learning community dedicated to learning, growth, and leadership. Together, we will remain rooted in our purpose while rising toward new possibilities for professional learning and educational excellence.
