Jackie Frangis

Learning Forward New Jersey, Advisory Board

Jackie Sicari Frangis entered education as a second career after a successful decade in private business, bringing with her a deep belief in the transformative power of learning. She earned master’s degrees in Elementary Education and Educational Leadership from Fordham University and served as a teacher and administrator in northern New Jersey.

For nearly two decades, Jackie has partnered with educators across New Jersey as a consultant and presenter with NJPSA, an instructor for NJEXCEL, and a mentor for NJL2L. She is the recipient of NJPSA’s 2005 Golden Lamp Award for Innovation and Excellence in Educational Leadership, has mentored graduate students at Fordham University, and has taught at the graduate level at Montclair State University.

In 2016, Jackie founded Elevate Educators, LLC, a PreK-12 professional development and educational consulting firm serving districts across New Jersey and New York, providing professional learning and coaching for teachers, paraprofessionals, supervisors, and school administrators. She has also led educators on immersive study experiences in Trento, Italy, exploring early childhood constructivist approaches inspired by the work of Lev Vygotsky.

Recently appointed as a Member-at-Large to the Executive Board of NJ Elevate (formerly NJASCD), Jackie also serves as a Committee Member with the New Jersey Italian Heritage Commission, supporting its mission to promote Italian language, culture, and educational initiatives. Outside of her professional work, she enjoys traveling, cycling, downhill skiing, cooking, speaking Italian, and spending time with her two sons, Luke and Gabriel.
