Learning Forward New Jersey, Board of Directors

I’ve spent nearly three decades as an educator, and I still believe there’s nothing more powerful than teachers and leaders who feel equipped and inspired. As a nationally recognized literacy consultant, speaker, and educator, I’m passionate about transforming classrooms into spaces where language and learning come alive. My path has taken me from teacher to coach to Library Media Specialist to staff developer, and every role deepened my commitment to delightful instructional practices. Today, I partner with educators across the country to unlock the full potential of their students through innovative and practical teaching strategies. I’m also the author of three books, most recently Not Your Granny’s Grammar. Serving on the Board of Directors of Learning Forward New Jersey lets me do this work close to home, championing professional learning that helps New Jersey’s teachers and students thrive.
