Learning Forward New Jersey, Advisory Board

I am an educator, instructional consultant, and mathematics specialist dedicated to strengthening mathematics instruction and professional learning for teachers across New Jersey. I began my career in East Brunswick Public Schools, where a collaborative culture of mentorship and shared learning shaped my approach to professional development.

My current work includes supporting BSI and Multilingual Learners by providing intensive and data-driven tier 3 intervention, while coaching teachers, and partnering with districts to strengthen instructional practice. Through my doctoral research on teacher professional learning at Drexel University, I examined adult learning through the lens of andragogy. I explored how educators’ experiences, professional identities, and the unique contexts in which they work shape how they learn. My research reinforced my belief that professional learning is most effective when it is relevant, sustained, and grounded in the realities of educators’ daily practice.

I believe that the same intentional differentiation expected for optimal student learning should also guide professional learning for educators. This perspective informs my work with schools and is the foundation of the contributions I hope to make to the Learning Forward New Jersey Advisory Board.
